Days of Caring Project

United Way of Delaware coordinates Days of Caring projects at its member agencies. Groups of employees from companies and organizations participating in the UW campaign join forces to tackle hands-on projects. Volunteers help agencies with a variety of projects such as painting, gardening, cleaning, yard work and other tasks that many agencies desperately need completed but cannot afford to hire someone to do.

This unique event gives employees an opportunity to spend their day on volunteer projects that make a difference in the lives of people and families dealing with mental illness.  Days of Caring also provides a way for companies to develop long-lasting relationships with colleagues and agencies.
