25th ANNIVERSARY
NAMI-DE was founded through the grass roots efforts of a few families who were concerned with the welfare of their family members and others who suffer from severe and persistent mental illness. Through their concern and commitment, NAMI-DE was born and has flourished for 25 years.
In honor of this monumental anniversary, the newsletters for 2008 will feature the tenacity and accomplishments that have been achieved by the individuals who have worked with and for NAMI-DE. The articles will showcase the residents of our housing, our volunteers (who comprise the critical core of what we do), our programs, the community outreach through education and support, and our staff.
We would love to have your input. If you have memories you would like to share, please send them to us, add the event and date so we can highlight the event on our organizational time line. Be sure to give us dates.
I invite you to cherish the history with us and embrace the present. It is because of people like you that NAMI-DE continues to thrive and grow “Until there is a cure” , we will be in Delaware --- a symbol of hope and resource for change for families, friends and all persons living in recovery with a mental illness.
I personally look forward to hearing from you, including your personal memories in the story of this dynamic organization. Thank you and enjoy.
